Black belt certification through promotion testing or transfer of existing rank is available through the Korea Simmudo Association:

This is a service available only to members of the Korea Simmudo Association. Pre-requisites to receiving either rank promotion or transfer of existing rank are:

  1. Active membership with the Korea Simmudo Association

REQUIREMENTS

KOREA SIMMUDO CERTIFICATION APPLICATION

  • Any legitimate martial art or style may be converted to the equivalent rank with the Korea Simmudo Association (with proof of certification)
  • Black belt certification only
  • Minimum age of 16 for 1st Dan

PRE-REQUISITES

  • Proof of membership in the Korea/USA Simmudo Association
  • Copies of your 3 most recent consecutive martial arts certificates

2nd Dan2 years min. at 1st Dan
3rd Dan3 years min. at 2nd Dan
4th Dan4 years min. at 3rd Dan
5th Dan5 years min. at 4th Dan
6th Dan6 years min. at 5th Dan
7th Dan7 years min. at 6th Dan

ITEMS TO SUBMIT

  • 4 passport size ID photos
  • Application form for certification to be submitted through nearest area representative with their written recommendation
  • Reference name, signature, and contact information
  • Certification fee or testing fee

MASTER INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATE

  • Fees are equal to certification fees
  • Must have qualified 4th Dan or above rank certificate
